Catawba River Basin NC Youth Day Deer Hunt

This is a special day for youth to get in the woods and get a jump on the season. North Carolina allows youth hunters 17 and under to hunt on this day with a gun in the midst of regular bow season. We will be doing a morning and evening hunt. This hunt is for all youth who have passed their hunter safety education training and are experienced with their rifle. Youth hunters will need a license if 16 or 17, big game report card(tags), a rifle with ammo, camo clothing, and blaze orange hat and vest. 

Cost is $10.00 per youth hunter to cover hunting. All youth participants will need to bring money for lunch.
