Reminder, you must be a current member of the Roanoke Delta Chapter of CTO with a waiver on file to participate in any CTO outing.
The meeting place is Bear ology. The beaver experience will begin at Bear ology with a PowerPoint presentation and examining an actual dead beaver up close and personal. Providing we have enough drivers, we will then go visit 2 sites. the first site will be to observe a large beaver lodge and feed bed. Then we will travel 30 minutes to a farm to examine 2 well-built beaver dams. After inspection, everyone will move back while David Denton, a trained year round beaver trapper places dynamite in the dam. Then everyone can watch the explosion from a safe distance.
